To the angel of the congregation in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation says this:
It was appropriate that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, should bring many sons to glory, to make the Chief Agent of their salvation perfect through suffering.
Look to (consider without distractions) Jesus, the Leader (Predecessor) and Finisher (Perfecter) of our faith. He despised the shame. He endured the stake for the joy that was set before him. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
He is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning (commencement), the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence (first place).

Everyone will be raised to life in the right order: Christ the first fruits and afterward those who belong to Christ at the time of his coming.
