And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he said unto him, Cast thy garment about thee and follow me.

And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me; and he left his garment in her hand and fled and got outside.

Which when Elijah heard it, he covered his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the door of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, saying, What doest thou here, Elijah?

And if anyone desires to sue thee at the law, and take away thy clothing, let him have thy cloak also.

And unto the one that smites thee on the one cheek offer also the other, and to the one that takes away thy cloak defend not thy coat also.

And, behold, a woman who was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years came behind him and touched the hem of his garment; for she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be free.

when she had heard of Jesus, came from behind among the multitude and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be saved.

came behind him and touched the border of his garment, and immediately her issue of blood stopped.

and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment, and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

And wherever he entered, into villages or cities or fields, they laid the sick in the streets and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment, and as many as touched him were saved.

neither let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes.

and let him that is in the field not turn back again even to take up his garment.

And they gave him audience unto this word and then lifted up their voices and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth, for it is not fit that he should live. And as they cried out and cast off their clothes and threw dust into the air, the tribunal commanded him to be brought into the fortress and bade that he should be examined by scourging that he might know why they cried out so against him.

The cloak that I left at Troas in the house of Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee and the books, but especially the parchments.

If thou at all take thy neighbour's clothing as a pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him before the sun goes down; for only that is his covering, it is his clothing to cover his flesh, in which he must sleep; and it shall come to pass, when he cries unto me, that I will hear, for I am merciful.

And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him and rent it in twelve pieces;

And Elijah took his mantle and wrapped it together and smote the waters, and they separated to one side and the other so that they both went over on dry ground.

And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle and plucked off of the hair of my head and of my beard and sat down astonied.

And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my affliction; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God

Let those who speak evil against me falsely be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion as with a mantle.

As he clothed himself with the curse like as with his garment, and it entered into his bowels like water and like oil into his bones. Let it be unto him as the garment which covers him and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

For we were never flatterers in the word, as ye know, nor tainted with covetousness, God is witness,

as being free, yet not using your liberty to cover maliciousness, but as slaves of God.
