And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he had answered them well, asked him, "Which commandment is the first of all?" The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
He answered them, "And why do you transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?
And he said to them, "You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition!
Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. For so the Lord has commanded us: 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'"
The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,
Though they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Then he rose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you no faith?" And they were filled with awe, and said to one another, "Who is this? Even the wind and the sea obey him!"
And they went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" Then he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves; and they ceased, and there was a calm. He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, "Who then is this, that he commands even the winds and water, and they obey him?"
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, "What is this? A new teaching! With authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him."
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst, he came out of him without doing him any harm. And they were all amazed and said to one another, "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!"
He strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat.
And her parents were astonished, but he charged them to tell no one what had happened.
And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "You dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again."
In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living from the gospel.
And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.
To the married I give charge, not I but the Lord, that the wife should not separate from her husband (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not divorce his wife.
If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command.
For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
that you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken through your apostles.

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than the divine trainingwhich is by faith. But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with everything to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, to be generous and ready to share,
I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession before Pontius Pilate, to keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Some in the crowd shouted one thing, and some another; and as he could not learn the facts because of the uproar, he ordered him to be brought into the barracks.
The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them and ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force, and bring him into the barracks.
After he had spent not more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea, and on the next day he took his seat on the tribunal and ordered Paul to be brought.
Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where he was, he should report it, so that they might arrest him.
But when they had ordered them to leave the Council, they conferred with one another,
saying, "We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name, and yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and intend to bring this man's blood upon us."
The high priest Ananias commanded those standing beside him to strike him on the mouth. Then Paul said to him, "God shall strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to judge me according to the law, and yet contrary to the law you order me to be struck?"
For when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you."
And Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
and he said to him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
They said to him, "Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?" He said to them, "Because of the hardness of your hearts Moses permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
He answered them, "What did Moses command you?" They said, "Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to put her away."
But sin, finding opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetous desire. For apart from the law sin lies dead. I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. The very commandment which was to bring life I found to be death to me.read more.
For sin, finding opportunity in the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good. Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Certainly not! But it was sin, working death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be recognized as sin, so that through the commandment sin might become sinful beyond measure.
For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind, and the blast of a trumpet, and the sound of a voice whose words made the hearers beg that no further word be spoken to them.
