And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. And he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them;
And I tell you, that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are members of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord;read more.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself in all her glory, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and blameless.
For I am confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, "O my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will."
And he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me; yet not what I will, but what you will."
"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done."
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to finish his work.
"I can do nothing of myself; as I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.
Then I said, 'Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,' as it is written of me in the roll of the book."
but he said to them, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because I was sent for this purpose."
And he said to them, "Let us go on to the next towns, so I may preach there also; for that is why I have come."
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and cried to him, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed." But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, "Send her away, for she is crying out after us."read more.
He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." But she came and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, help me!" And he answered, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." "Yes, Lord," she said, "yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
From there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered a house, and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not be hidden. But a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an unclean spirit heard about him, and she came and fell at his feet. Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter.read more.
And he said to her, "Let the children first be fed, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." But she answered him, "Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs." Then he said to her, "For this saying you may go your way; the demon has left your daughter." She went home, and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
I tell you that in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work which you have given me to do.
And he said to them, "Go and tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I finish my course.'
Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst."
So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.
For this reason also, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will live a life worthy of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
More than that, I count everything to be loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ
And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming like him in his death;
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

He who overcomes, and keeps my works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations

But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, to test him. "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?"read more.
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the great and first commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he had answered them well, asked him, "Which commandment is the first of all?" Jesus answered, "The first is: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'read more.
The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read?" And he answered, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind'; and 'your neighbor as yourself.'"read more.
And he said to him, "You have answered right; do this, and you will live."
So now faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another."
Finally, brethren, farewell. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you,
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
But I do not consider my life of any account nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
in the hope that I may somehow arouse to jealousy the kinsmen of my flesh and save some of them.
And so I have made it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on another man's foundation,
For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion. For woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!
preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction.
until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to become mature, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another, for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."
For this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed, but to be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now he who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
Then we who are alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up at the last day.
