8 Bible Verses about Confession

I tell you, everyone who will acknowledge me before men, the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God,

I am baptizing you in water in token of your repentance, but he who is coming after me is stronger than I am, and I am not fit to carry his shoes. He will baptize you in the holy Spirit and in fire.

Therefore, I must tell you that no one who is speaking under the influence of the Spirit of God ever says, "Curse Jesus!" and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord!" without being under the influence of the holy Spirit.

If we say, "We are without any sin," we are deceiving ourselves, and there is no truth in our hearts. If we acknowledge our sins, he is upright and can be depended on to forgive our sins and cleanse us from everything wrong.
