they are not all children of Abraham because they are Abraham's descendants. The promise was, In Isaac shall thy posterity be called. That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as his posterity.
"Then he gave him a covenant of circumcision, and under this covenant he became the father of Isaac, whom he circumcised on the eighth day, and Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve Patriarchs.
"You are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, "And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
And the Scripture, anticipating God's justification of the Gentiles by faith, announced the gospel to Abraham beforehand in the words, In thee shall all the Gentiles be blessed. So then they who are children of faith are blessed with Abraham the faithful;
