Folly is joy to him that is void of wisdom; But a man of understanding maketh straight his going.
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment; so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and void of offence unto the day of Christ;
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? prudent, that he may know them? for the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but transgressors shall fall therein.
Then thy handmaid said, Let, I pray thee, the word of my lord the king be comfortable; for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: and Jehovah thy God be with thee.
Is there injustice on my tongue? Cannot my taste discern mischievous things?
Butter and honey shall he eat, when he knoweth to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
and that ye may make a distinction between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean;

Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh; even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, even at the doors.
Then the king said to the wise men, who knew the times, (for so was the king's manner toward all that knew law and judgment;
Give thy servant therefore an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this thy great people?
Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues:
And let the prophets speak by two or three, and let the others discern.
Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son; But he that is a companion of gluttons shameth his father.
But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge; For I have believed in thy commandments.
