Some Scribes, who were come from Jerusalem, said, he is confederate with Beelzebub, the prince of the demons enables him to dispossess demons. but calling them to him, he said by way of similitude, how can satan dispossess satan? if a kingdom be divided against it self, that kingdom cannot last.read more.
if a family be divided against it self, it is impossible for it to subsist. so if satan rise up in opposition to his own interest, his power cannot subsist, but must entirely cease.

Jesus having called his twelve disciples, he gave them power to cast out unclean spirits, and to heal diseases and disorders of every kind.

After this he assembled the twelve apostles, and gave them authority over all sorts of demons, and the power of curing all diseases:

heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: what ye have received gratis, give gratis.
