whom God set forth [to be] a propitiator through faith in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing by of the errors committed previously in the forbearance of God,

bears all things, believes all things, hopes for all things, and endures all things.

with all humility and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love,

You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. For first, when you come together in an assembly, I hear that there are divisions among you, and some part of it I believe. For it is necessary that there should be heresies among you, that the approved may be manifest among you.

But if any one has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but in part, that I may not be hard upon you, [has grieved you] all, Sufficient for such a one is this rebuke by many; so that on the other hand you ought to forgive and comfort him, that he may not be overwhelmed with excessive sorrow.read more.
