and be not conformed to this life, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, that you may prove what is the will of God which is good and well-pleasing and perfect.
For this is the will of God, your purity, that you should abstain from fornication, that each one should know how to have his wife in purity and honor, not with inordinate desires like the gentiles who know not God,
teaching us, that denying impiety and worldly desires we should live soberly, and righteously, and piously in the present life,
As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the desires of your former ignorance, but as he that called you is holy be you also holy in all [your] conduct, because it is written, Be you holy, for I am holy.
For the time past is sufficient for us to have performed the will of the gentiles, walking in lewdness, inordinate desires, drunkenness, revellings, drinkings and unlawful idolatries, in which they think it strange that you run not with them to the same excessive intemperance, blaspheming,
for every child that has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory which overcomes the world, our faith.
And I am no longer in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep in thy name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one as we also are.
As we have opportunity, therefore, let us do good to all, but especially to the members of the family of the faith.
