Then was the law against the promises of God? it could not be so. For if the law was given being able to create life, truly justification would have been by law: but the scripture has shut up all things unto sin, in order that the promise through faith of Jesus Christ may be given to those who believe.
for the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope, by which we draw nigh unto God.
