Matthew 6:25-33

On this account I tell you, be not anxious for your soul, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, what you shall put on, is not the soul more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of heaven; they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into store-houses; but your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they? Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature?read more.
And why are you anxious concerning clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they perform no hard labor, neither do they spin; but I tell you that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. And if God so clothes the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, men of little faith? Be not anxious, therefore, saying, What shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or with what shall we be clothed? For after all these things the gentiles seek; and your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first righteousness and his kingdom, and all these things shall be added to you.

Luke 12:22-31
