And I am persuaded, my brothers, even I myself, concerning you, that you are full of kindness, filled with all knowledge, and able to admonish one another;

and for the same purpose also, giving all diligence add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge,

The good man, out of his good treasury, casts forth good things; and the evil man, out of his evil treasury, casts forth evil things.

For there is no good tree which bears bad fruit, nor, again, a bad tree which bears good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For they do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from brambles. The good man out of the good treasury of his heart brings forth good, and the evil man out of the evil brings forth evil; for out of the abundance of the heart its mouth speaks.

For as the Father has life in himself, so has he also given to the Son to have life in himself; and has given him authority and judgment to execute, because he is the Son of man. Wonder not at this; for the hour comes in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice read more.
and shall come forth; those that have done good to a resurrection of life, and those that have done evil to a resurrection of judgment.

As we have opportunity, therefore, let us do good to all, but especially to the members of the family of the faith.

But I tell you that hear, Love your enemies; do good to those that hate you; bless those that curse you; pray for those that injure you;

See that no one renders evil for evil, but always pursue the good both one to another and to all.

You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. But I tell you, Love your enemies, and pray for those that persecute you;

Render evil for evil to no one, provide things honorable in the sight of all men; if possible, as much as may be in your power, live peaceably with all men, not vindicating yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Judgment is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. read more.
If therefore your enemy is hungry, give him food; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for doing this you shall heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
