The Lord works everything for its own ends -- even the wicked for the day of disaster.
You terrified the nations with your battle cry; you destroyed the wicked; you permanently wiped out all memory of them.

This is the portion of the wicked man allotted by God, the inheritance that evildoers receive from the Almighty.
For to the one who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy, but to the sinner, he gives the task of amassing wealth -- only to give it to the one who pleases God. This task of the wicked is futile -- like chasing the wind!
For this reason the wicked cannot withstand judgment, nor can sinners join the assembly of the godly.
