He chooses for us our inheritance—
the pride of Jacob, whom He loves.Selah
“I have loved you,” says the Lord.But you ask: “How have You loved us?” “Wasn’t Esau Jacob’s brother?” This is the Lord’s declaration. “Even so, I loved Jacob, but I hated Esau. I turned his mountains into a wasteland, and gave his inheritance to the desert jackals.”
As it is written: I have loved Jacob, but I have hated Esau.
1 Kings 10:9
May Yahweh your God be praised! He delighted in you and put you on the throne of Israel, because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel. He has made you king to carry out justice and righteousness.”
When Israel was a child, I loved him,
and out of Egypt I called My son.
Regarding the gospel, they are enemies for your advantage, but regarding election, they are loved because of the patriarchs,
Indeed He loves the people.

2 Samuel 12:25
and He sent a message through Nathan the prophet, who named him Jedidiah, because of the Lord.

The Lord loves the gates of Zion
more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
He chose instead the tribe of Judah,
Mount Zion, which He loved.
