24 Bible Verses about Going Up Mountains

Go up to the mountain and bring lumber, and rebuild my house. I will take pleasure in it and I will be glorified, said Jehovah.

The mountains rose and the valleys sank down to the place you appointed for them.

Many nations will come. They will say: Come you people, let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths! For out of Zion will go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

Moses went up to the mountain. The cloud covered the mountain.

Then many people will come and say: Let us go to the mountain of Jehovah, to the House of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways so that we may live by them. The law will go out from Zion. The word of Jehovah will go out from Jerusalem.

Jehovah descended on the top of Mount Sinai. Jehovah called Moses to the top of the mountain. Moses climbed to the peak of Mount Sinai.

Be ready in the morning. Come up on Mount Sinai and present yourself to me there on top of the mountain.

Moses cut two more stone tablets. Early the next morning he carried them up Mount Sinai, just as Jehovah commanded.

Jehovah said to Moses: You and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of Israel's elders come up the mountain to me and worship at a distance.

Jehovah said to Moses: Come up on the mountain and stay here for a while. I will give you the two stone tablets on which I have written the laws that my people must obey.

Jehovah said to me: 'Cut out for yourself two tablets of stone like the former ones. Come up to me on the mountain, and build an ark of wood for yourself.

Moses entered the midst of the cloud as he went up to the mountain. He was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

Jehovah called Moses from the mountain. So Moses went up the mountain to God. Jehovah told him: This is what you must say to the descendants of Jacob. Tell the Israelites:

Moses and Joshua his assistant got ready. Moses started up the mountain to meet with God.

Moses and Aaron, together with Nadab and Abihu and the seventy leaders, went up the mountain.

Moses said to Jehovah: The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai for you warned us. You said: 'Put limits around the mountain and set it apart as holy.'

Jehovah replied to him: You and Aaron come up to me. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to Jehovah, or he will destroy some of them.

Take Aaron and his son Eleazar to Mount Hor.

Moses did what Jehovah commanded. They went up Mount Hor in the sight of the entire congregation.

Go to the top of (Mount) Pisgah, and look west, north, south, and east. You may look at the land, but you will never cross the Jordan River.

Go up to this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo. It is in the land of Moab opposite Jericho. Look at the land of Canaan. I am giving this to the sons of Israel for a possession.

You will go from there until you find the oak tree of Tabor. You will see three men going up to God to Bethel. One will have three young goats and another three cakes of bread and another a skin full of wine:

Who will go up to the mountain of Jehovah? Who may stand in His holy place?

There will be a day when watchmen on the hills of Ephraim call out: 'Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to Jehovah our God.'
