I wish now my words were written. I wish they were inscribed on a scroll. I wish they were engraved forever on a rock with an iron stylus and lead.

Jehovah says: Judah's sin is written with an iron pen. It is engraved with a diamond point on the tablet of their hearts and on the horns (strength) (authority) of their altars.

When I went up on the mountain to get the stone tablets, the tablets of the promise that Jehovah made to you, I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights without food or water. Then Jehovah gave me the two stone tablets inscribed by God's finger (Holy Spirit). On them were written all the words Jehovah spoke to you from the fire on the mountain on the day of the assembly. At the end of forty days and nights Jehovah gave me the two stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant.

Jehovah said to Moses: Come up on the mountain and stay here for a while. I will give you the two stone tablets on which I have written the laws that my people must obey.

When God finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

He told you what you must do to keep the covenant he made with you. You must obey the Ten Commandments, which he wrote on two stone tablets.

Jehovah spoke to us when we gathered on the mountain. He spoke with a loud voice from the dark fiery cloud. Jehovah gave us these words, and only these. Then he wrote them on two flat tablets of stone and gave them to me.

Jehovah said to me: 'Cut out for yourself two tablets of stone like the former ones. Come up to me on the mountain, and build an ark of wood for yourself. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets that you shattered. You must place them in the Ark.' He wrote on the tablets, like the former writing. It was the Ten Commandments (Ten Words) that Jehovah proclaimed to you on the mountain. It was from the middle of the fire on the day of the assembly. Jehovah gave them to me.

Moses cut two more stone tablets. Early the next morning he carried them up Mount Sinai, just as Jehovah commanded.

Then I came down from the mountain and put the tablets in the Ark I had made. They are there just as Jehovah commanded me.

There was nothing inside the Ark of the Covenant except the two stone tablets that Moses had placed there at Mount Sinai, when Jehovah made a covenant with the people of Israel as they were coming from Egypt.

There was nothing in the Ark except the two tablets Moses placed there at Horeb, where Jehovah made a covenant with the Israelites after they left Egypt.

It had a golden incense burner. The Ark of the Covenant was completely covered with gold. It contained the golden pot that had the manna, and the rod of Aaron that had sprouted, and the tables of the covenant.

This is the way it will be on the day when you cross the Jordan to the land that Jehovah your God gives you. Build an altar there to Jehovah your God. Build the altar of stones. Do not use an iron tool on them. Build the altar of Jehovah your God of uncut stones. Offer on it burnt offerings to Jehovah your God and sacrifice peace offerings and eat there, and rejoice before Jehovah your God. Write on the stones all the words of the Law very distinctly.

They offered offerings to Jehovah, and sacrificed peace offerings. He wrote upon the stones a copy of the Law of Moses. He did this in the presence of the children of Israel.

Jehovah answered me: Write the vision. Record it on tablets that he who reads it may run.

Write this on a tablet for them, and inscribe it in a book so that it will be there in the future as a permanent witness.

He asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, His name is John. They were all amazed.

Jehovah said to me: Take a large writing tablet, and write on it with a pen: Maher Shalal Hash Baz (The Looting Will Come Quickly; the Prey Will Be Easy).

Son of man, take a clay tablet and put it in front of you. Draw the city of Jerusalem on it.

Do not let kindness and truth leave you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Constantly bind them upon your heart, and tie them about your neck.

Bind them upon your fingers. Write them upon the table of your heart.

This is the covenant (agreement) that I will make with Israel after those days, declares Jehovah. I will put my teachings (Law) inside them. I will write those teachings (Law) on their hearts (inner man) (mind) (will) (conscience) (understanding). I will be their God, and they will be my people.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove your stubborn hearts and give you obedient hearts. I will put my Spirit in you. I will enable you to live by my Laws, and you will obey my rules.

It is known that you are a letter of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is not written on tablets of stone, but on tablets of flesh that are of the heart.

This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,' said Jehovah: 'I will put my teachings (laws) in their mind, I will write them upon their hearts (deep thought) (understanding). I will be their God, and they will be my people. (Jeremiah 31:32)
