11 Bible Verses about Gone Away

Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.

For even though I am absent in flesh, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.

So when the people saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they also got into the boats and went to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.

and for your sake I am glad that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him."

For though I am absent in body, I am present in spirit, and have already passed judgment on the one who has committed this, as if I were present.

We are confident, I say, and would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

I, Paul, myself urge you, by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold to you when I am away!

Let such people realize that what we are in our letters when we are absent, we will be in our actions when we are present.

I write these things while I am absent, in order that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority which the Lord gave me for building you up, and not for tearing you down.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;
