We ask you brothers to warn the unruly and comfort the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with all men.

Strengthen the tired hands and the knees that tremble with weakness.

([Psalm of David]) Blessed (happy) is the one who has concern for helpless people. Jehovah will rescue (save) him in times of trouble.

We who are strong in the faith ought to help the weak to carry their burdens. We should not just please ourselves.

Accept the man who has a weak faith, but not to entertain doubtful thinking.

Not all people know this. Some eat food offered to idols and their conscience being weak is defiled. But food will not recommend us to God. If we do not eat we are not worse. If we eat we are not better. Be careful that this freedom does not become a stumbling block to those who are weak.read more.
If any man with knowledge sees you having a meal from an idol's temple, will the conscience of the weak one be emboldened (encouraged) to eat food offered to idols? And because of your knowledge the weak brother will perish. Christ died for him! When you sin against your brothers and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

How you have helped one who has no power! How you have assisted the arm that has no strength!

In all things I gave you an example. You by laboring should help the weak. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus: It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Be careful that this freedom does not become a stumbling block to those who are weak.

And because of your knowledge the weak brother will perish. Christ died for him!
