For I say, through the grace that was given to me, to every one among you, not to think of himself more highly than he night to think, but so to think as to think soberly, according as God divided to each one a measure of faith. And, having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us; whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith; or ministry, let us labor in the ministry; or he that teaches, in teaching; or he that exhorts, in his exhortation; he that imparts, let him do it with liberality; he that presides, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without hypocrisy; abhorring that which is evil; cleaving to that which is good; in brotherly love being tenderly affectionate one to another; in honor, preferring one another; in diligence, not slothful; in spirit, fervent, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; persevering in prayer; communicating to the necessities of the saints; cultivating hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless, and curse not. Be ready to rejoice with those who rejoice; to weep with those who weep; thinking the same thing one toward another; minding not lofty things, but being carried along with the lowly. Be ye not wise in your own conceits; recompensing to no one evil for evil; providing things honorable in the sight of all men; if it be possible, so far as it depends on you, being at peace with all men; not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to the wrath of God: for it has been written, "Vengeance is Mine; I will recompense," saith the Lord. But, if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink; for, in doing this, you will heap coals of fire upon his head. Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 13:12-14

The night was far spent, and the day has drawn near; let us, therefore, put off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. As in the day, let us walk becomingly; not in revellings and drunkenness, not in lewdness and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy; but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill its desires.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

If I speak with tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. And, if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all the mysteries and all knowledge; and, if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing, And, if I bestow in morsels all my goods; and, if I give my body to he burned, but have not love, I am profited nothing.read more.
Love suffers long, is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not herself, is not puffed up, behaves not unseemly, seeks not her own, is not provoked, takes no account of evil, rejoices not at unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails; but whether there be prophecies, they will be done away; whether there be tongues, they will cease; whether there be knowledge, it will be done away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; but, when the complete comes, the partial will be done away. When I was a child, I was wont to talk as a child, to think as a child, to reason as a child; since I have become a man, I have done away with the things of the child; for now we see through a mirror, obscurely; but then, face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall fully know, even as I also was fully known. But now abides faith, hope, love; these three; and the greatest of these is love.
