Faithful is the saying, "If anyone desires the office of bishop, he covets a noble work."
and, making it my aim so to proclaim the Gospel??ot where Christ was already named??hat I might not build upon another's foundation;
For, if I proclaim the Gospel, it is not to me a matter of boasting; for necessity is laid upon me; for woe is to me, if I proclaim not the Gospel.
Some, indeed, preach Christ even because of envy and strife; and some also of good-will; the one, from love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the Gospel; but the other proclaim Christ of contention, not sincerely, thinking to add tribulation to my bonds.read more.
