But when Jesus knew it, he said unto them, Why are ye reasoning among yourselves, O ye of little faith, because ye have not taken bread? Do you not consider, nor remember the five loaves among the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? Nor the seven loaves among the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?read more.
How is it that ye do not understand, that I spake not to you of bread, to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

But they understood not the meaning of that declaration, and were afraid to ask him.

And they understood not that declaration, and it was hid from them, that they should not comprehend its meaning: and they were afraid to ask him concerning that saying.

And they understood none of these things: and the saying was concealed from them, and they knew not the things which were spoken.

Wherefore do ye not understand my speech? because ye cannot hear my word.
