Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Unto you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD he is God; there is none else besides him.

For you, LORD, are high above all the earth: you are exalted far above all gods.

Thus says the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God. And who, as I do, shall call, and shall proclaim it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show these unto them. Fear not, neither be afraid: have not I told you from that time, and have declared it? you are even my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you.

Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if you have understanding.

You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make unto yourself any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;read more.

I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

All nations which you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; and shall glorify your name. For you are great, and do wondrous things: you are God alone.

And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall make sacrifice and offering; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.

Thus says the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.

One generation shall praise your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.

And you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever. And it shall come to pass, when you are come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he has promised, that you shall keep this service. And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing: And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

You offer polluted bread upon my altar; and you say, How have we polluted you? In that you say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. And if you offer the blind for a sacrifice, is it not evil? and if you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto your governor; will he be pleased with you, or accept your person? says the LORD of hosts.

Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do. You stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your heads of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel, Your little ones, your wives, and your stranger that is in your camp, from the hewer of your wood unto the drawer of your water:read more.
That you should enter into covenant with the LORD your God, and into his oath, which the LORD your God makes with you this day: That he may establish you today for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto you a God, as he has said unto you, and as he has sworn unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. Therefore you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always.

Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build you the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.

O love the LORD, all you his saints: for the LORD preserves the faithful, and plentifully repays the proud doer.

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed. Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

O Israel, trust you in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. You that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

[Lamed] Forever, O LORD, your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness is unto all generations: you have established the earth, and it abides. They continue this day according to your ordinances: for all are your servants.read more.
Unless your law had been my delights, I should then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget your precepts: for with them you have revived me.

You have declared the LORD this day to be your God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice: And the LORD has declared you this day to be his peculiar people, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments;read more.
And to make you high above all nations which he has made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that you may be a holy people unto the LORD your God, as he has spoken.

And Samuel said, has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.

Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Add your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat the flesh. For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people: and walk you in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Blessed are they that keep justice, and he that does righteousness at all times.

To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? says the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of male goats. When you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to trample my courts? Bring no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot endure; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.read more.
Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary of bearing them. And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make yourself clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do good; seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Thus says the LORD, Keep justice, and do righteousness: for my salvation is soon to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall stumble in them.

The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he has spoken of him.

You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.

The LORD shall establish you a holy people unto himself, as he has sworn unto you, if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways.

I call heaven and earth as witness this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live: That you may love the LORD your God, and that you may obey his voice, and that you may cleave unto him: for he is your life, and the length of your days: that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
