Peter answered and said to him: Though all shall be offended at thee, yet will I never be offended. Jesus said to him: Verily I say to you, This night, before the cock crows, you will deny me three times.

And he came to his disciples, and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter: Was it so, that you had not strength to watch with me one hour?

Well; on ac count of unbelief they were broken off; but you stand by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear. For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed, lest he spare not you.
