Peter answering said to him, Tho' all should be offended at thee, I will never be offended. Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, before cock-crowing thou wilt deny me thrice.

And he cometh to the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith to Peter, What! Could ye not watch with me one hour?

Well; they were broken off for unbelief, and thou standest by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear. For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed left he also spare not thee.

Therefore let him that standeth, take heed, lest he fall.

Because thou sayst, I am rich, and have inriched myself, and have need of nothing, and knowest not, that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
