And which of you by worrying can add a single cubit to his span of life? If you then are not able to do this very little thing, why are you anxious about the rest? But if God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said, "I will never leave you, nor will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.
