And, when he entered into a house from the multitudes, his disciples began to question him as to the parable; And he saith unto them - Thus, are, ye also, without discernment? Perceive ye not that, nothing, from without, entering into the man, can defile him; because it entereth not into his heart, but into his stomach, and, into the draught, is passed - purifying all foods? And he was saying - That which, out of the man, cometh forth, that, defileth the man; For, from within, out of the heart of men, the base designs, come forth, - fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, covetousnesses, knaveries, deceit, wantonness, an evil eye, profane speaking, foolishness, - all these wicked things, from within, come forth, and defile, the man.

Luke 11:37-41

And, when he had spoken, a Pharisee was requesting him that he would dine with him; and, entering, he reclined. And, the Pharisee, beholding, marvelled that he was not, first, immersed, before the dinner. And the Lord said unto him: Now, ye, the Pharisees, the outside of the cup and of the tray, do make pure; but, your inward part, is full of plunder and wickedness.read more.

For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the profaned, halloweth unto the purity of the flesh, How much rather shall the blood of the Christ, who through an age-abiding spirit offered himself unspotted unto God, purify our conscience from dead works, to the rendering of divine-service, unto a Living God?
