Now as Jesus was walking by the sea of Galilee, He saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; (for they were fishermen:)

After these things Jesus shewed Himself again to the disciples near the sea of Tiberias; and He shewed Himself thus.

but in the fourth watch of the night Jesus came to them walking on the sea:

And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire; and those that had gained the victory from the beast, and from his image, and from his mark, and from the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, and having harps to celebrate the praises of God.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, which had seven heads and ten horns; and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the names of blasphemy.

And the voice, which I heard from heaven, spake to me again, and said, Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel that standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

And before the throne was a sea of glass, like crystal: and in the middle of the throne, and the circle of it, were four animate beings full of eyes before and behind.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth passed away, and there was no more sea.

And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now almost full. And He was in the stern asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, art thou under no concern that we are perishing? And He rose and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still; and the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

and behold a great tempest rose on the sea, so that the vessel was even covered by the waves; but He was asleep. And His disciples came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, Lord save us, for we are perishing: and He saith unto them, Why are ye so frighted, O ye of little faith? Then He rose up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

but in the fourth watch of the night Jesus came to them walking on the sea: and when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were affrighted and said, It is an apparition; and they cried out for fear: but Jesus immediately spake to them, saying, Take courage, it is I, be not afraid. read more.
Then Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it be thou, command me to come unto thee upon the waters. And He said, Come. And Peter went down from the ship and walked upon the waters to go to Jesus: but seeing the wind boisterous, he was afraid, and beginning to sink cried out, Lord, save me. And Jesus, immediately stretching forth his hand, laid hold of him, and saith to him, O man of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every one according to their works.
