But the end of what is enjoined is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and unfeigned faith;
Let love be unfeigned; abhorring evil; cleaving to good:
For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile; but even as we have been approved of God to have the glad tidings entrusted to us, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who proves our hearts. as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
For there is no certainty in their mouth; their inward part is perversion, their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
Laying aside therefore all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envyings and all evil speakings,
that ye may judge of and approve the things that are more excellent, in order that ye may be pure and without offence for Christ's day,
