Do not chide a senior, but exhort him as a father; and younger men as brethren: the elder women as mothers, the younger as sisters, with all purity.

Now there was a certain person sick, to wit, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and Martha her sister. (And it was Mary, that anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) so he turned and said to them, If any man come to me, and does not comparatively hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple.
