At last he sent unto them his Son, saying, They will reverence my Son. But when the husbandmen saw the Son, they said among themselves, This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and seize on his inheritance: so they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and slew him.
Having yet therefore one Son, his beloved, he sent him also at last unto them, saying, they will reverence my Son. But the husbandmen said to one another, this is the heir, Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours. And they took him, and killed Him too, casting him out of the vineyard.
Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: perhaps when they see Him they will reverence Him. But when the husbandmen saw Him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir, come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. So they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do unto them?
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me both in heaven and on earth.
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a distant country to receive the investiture of a kingdom and then to return.
Being as much superior to the angels, as He inheriteth a name more excellent than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say, "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?" and again, "I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to me a Son?" and when He again introduceth the First-born into the world, he saith, "And let all the angels of God worship Him."
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and co-heirs with Christ: if so be we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified with Him.
and of the same body, and joint-partakers of his promise in Christ, by the gospel:
Wherefore God being willing more abundantly to manifest unto the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it with an oath:
And on this account He is the mediator of a new covenant, that undergoing death for the redemption of transgressions against the first covenant, they that are called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance.
For if the inheritance be from the law, it is no more from the promise: whereas God gave it to Abraham by promise.
And now, my brethren, I recommend you to God, and to the word of his grace: who is able to edify you, and to give you an inheritance among all that are sanctified.
giving thanks unto the Father, who hath made us meet for a portion of the inheritance of the saints in light:
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
For the promise made to Abraham, or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world, was not by the law, but by the righteousness of faith: for if they only that are of the law be heirs, faith is made useless, and the promise is become of no effect. Now the law worketh wrath; for where there is no law, there is no transgression.read more.
And therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace, that so the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but also to that which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (as it is written, "I have made thee a father of many nations,") in the sight of Him whom he believed, even God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not as if they were:
By faith Noah being warned by God of things which were not yet seen, moved with pious fear, prepared an ark for the safety of his family; whereby he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. By faith Abraham when called to go out to a place which he was afterwards to receive for an inheritance obeyed: and went out, though he knew not whither he was going. By faith he sojourned in the land promised him, as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob the heirs with him of the same promise.read more.
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose maker and founder is God.
Are they not all ministring spirits, sent forth to attend on those who shall be heirs of salvation?
yea and every one who hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, shall receive an hundred-fold, and shall inherit eternal life.
And behold, a lawyer stood up to try Him, and said, Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?
that being justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son born of a woman made under the law, that He might redeem those that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.read more.
So that thou art no longer a servant, but a son; and if a son, an heir also of God through Christ.
but ye are come to mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the first-born who are written in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the just made perfect,
