Blessed are the peace-makers; for they shall be called the children of God.

But do ye love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing from it: and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the sons of the most High; for He is kind even to the ungrateful and the wicked:

And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry and are given in marriage. But they who are counted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: for they can die no more, being like the angels: and they are the children of God as being the children of the resurrection.

Not that the word of God hath failed. For they are not all Israel, who are descended from Israel. Nor because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children of promise: but "in Isaac shall thy seed be called." That is, not the children of the flesh are the children of God, but the children of the promise are accounted for the seed.

Be not unsuitably connected with infidels: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? or what communion hath light with darkness? what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath a believer with an infidel? and what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God: as God hath said, "I will dwell in them, and I will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."read more.

Behold then what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God: though for this reason the world knoweth us not, because it knew not Him. Beloved, we are now the children of God, but it doth not yet appear what we shall be: we know however, that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every one, that hath this hope in Him, purifieth himself, even as He is pure.

Whosoever is born of God doth not practise sin, because his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doth not practise righteousness, and he who loveth not his brother, is not of God:

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one, that loveth Him that begat, loveth Him also that is begotten of Him: and in this we know that we love the children of God, since we love God and keep his commandments.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be a God to him, and he shall be to me a son.
