1 Kings 13:8
But the man of God replied, "If you were to give me half your house, I still wouldn't go with you, and I wouldn't eat bread or drink water in this place,

He held fast to the Lord and did not turn from following Him but kept the commandments the Lord had commanded Moses.

When the days were coming to a close for Him to be taken up, He determined to journey to Jerusalem.
And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayers.
But Peter and John answered them, "Whether it's right in the sight of God [for us] to listen to you rather than to God, you decide;
for we are unable to stop speaking about what we have seen and heard."
But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God's grace.
But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life.
