And his disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither this man sinned nor his parents sinned. But that the works of God might be revealed in him,
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
when he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he uttered no threats, but he trusted himself to him who judges justly.
Therefore, let those who suffer according to God's will do right and entrust their souls to a faithful Creator.
Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.

Then he will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
For judgment will be without mercy to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.
And "if it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner?"
Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix a double portion for her. As she glorified herself and played the wanton, so give her a like measure of torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, 'A queen I sit, and I am not a widow, mourning I will never see.'
