The devil took him up again and led him into an exceeding high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and all the glory of them; and said to him, "All these will I give thee if thou wilt fall down and worship me." Then said Jesus unto him, "Depart, Satan: For it is written, 'Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and him only shalt thou serve.'"
And he went away a little apart, and fell flat on his face, and prayed, saying, "O my father, if it possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt."
He went away once more, and prayed, saying, "O my father, if this cup cannot pass away from me, but that I drink of it, thy will be fulfilled."
And he said, "Abba father, all things are possible unto thee, take away this cup from me. Nevertheless, not that I will, but that thou wilt be done."
For I came down from heaven: not to do mine own will, but his will which hath sent me.
When all things are subdued unto him: then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all things.
