And I stood upon the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed. And the whole earth wondered after the beast.read more.
And they worshipped the dragon, because he gave the authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like to the beast, and who is able to make war with him? And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemy; and power was given to him to work fortytwo months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and power was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation. And all who dwell on the earth wilt worship him, every one whose name hath not been written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. If any one hath an ear, let him hear. If any one [leadeth] into captivity he shall go into captivity; if any one shall kill with the sword, he must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

[he,] whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power, and signs, and wonders of falsehood, and in all deceit of unrighteousness for those who are perishing; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And the beast was seized and he who was with him, the false prophet who wrought the signs in his presence, with which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast, and who worshipped his image; the two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the authority of the first beast in his presence; and causeth the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

The beast which thou sawest, was, and is not, and is to come up out of the abyss, and goeth into perdition; and they that dwell on the earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and yet will come. Here is the mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

And he saith to me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were a flame of fire, and on his head were many diadems; and he had names written, and a name written which no one knoweth but he himself; and he was clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called, The Word of God.read more.
And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and pure. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he may smite the nations; and he will rule them with a rod of iron; and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God Almighty. And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
