And forty years being completed there appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, an angel in a flame of fire, in a bush. And Moses seeing it, wondered at the sight; and coming near to look at it, there was a voice of the Lord, I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob. And Moses being afraid dared not look at it.

And being divinely instructed in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their country another way.

And when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and remain there till I tell you; for Herod will seek the young child to destroy it.

And there was a certain disciple at Damascus by the name of Ananias, and the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And on the next day, as they were pursuing their journey and had come nigh to the city, Peter went upon the house to pray, about the sixth hour. And he was hungry and wished to eat; and while they were preparing a trance came upon him, and he beheld heaven opened, and a certain vessel like a great sheet descending, let down by four corners to the earth,read more.
in which were all the quadrupeds and reptiles of the earth, and birds of heaven. And a voice came to him, Arise, Peter, kill and eat. But Peter said, By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten any thing common and impure. And a voice came to him again, a second time, What God has purified, regard not common. And this was done thrice, and immediately the vessel was taken up to heaven. And while Peter doubted with himself what the vision which he had seen meant, behold, even [then] the men sent by Cornelius, having inquired for the house of Simon, stood at the gate,

And I turned to see the voice which spoke with me; and having turned around I saw seven golden candlesticks,
