They replied: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you and your house shall be saved.
that if you will confess with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
For by grace you have been saved through the faith; and this matter is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God:
who are kept secure by the power of God through faith, to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time:
For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you believed him not. But the publicans and the harlots believed him. And you, when you had seen it, after ward felt no regret, that you might believe him.

But the same John had his clothing of camel's hair, and a girdle of leather around his loins, and his food was locusts and wild honey. Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judea, and all the region round about the Jordan, and were immersed by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his immersion, he said to them: Generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the coining wrath? Bring forth, therefore, fruit worthy of repentance: and think not to say within yourselves, "We have Abraham for our father; for I say to you that God is able from these stones to raise up children to Abraham. Even now the ax is lying at the root of the trees: therefore, every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. I immerse you in water, in order to repentance; but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit and in fire: whose winnowing-shovel is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his thrashing-floor, and gather his grain into his granary; but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.
For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
And they sent to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying: Teacher, we know that you are true, and that you teach the way of God in truth, and care not for any one: for you do not look upon the person of men.
And they came and said to him: Teacher, we know that you are true, and that you care for no one; for you do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
And they asked him, saying: Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and do not regard the person of any, but teach the way of God in truth.
He was instructed in the way of the Lord; and, being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, knowing only the immersion of John. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. But when Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him, and taught him the way of God more accurately.
Where fore, I was angry with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
And a certain Jew, named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. He was instructed in the way of the Lord; and, being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, knowing only the immersion of John.
She followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying: These men are the servants of the most High God, who show us the way of salvation.
How strait is the gate, and how narrow the way, that leads to life! and few there are that find it.
