and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person {does not belong to him}.
So then, brothers, we are obligated not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
But I say, live by the Spirit, and you will never carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh, for these are in opposition to one another, so that whatever you want, you may not do these [things].
And do not be drunk with wine (in which is dissipation), but be filled by the Spirit,
And we all, with unveiled face, reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory into glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
because [those] whom he foreknew, he also predestined [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be the firstborn among many brothers.
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever he is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is. And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as that one is pure.
For all those who are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery [leading] to fear again, but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit himself confirms to our spirit that we are children of God,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such things [there] is no law.
In the [same] way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit.
"I am the vine; you [are] the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him--this one bears much fruit, for apart from me you are not able to do anything. If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and dries up, and they gather them and throw [them] into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.read more.
My Father is glorified by this: that you bear much fruit, and prove to be my disciples.
For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
for you were formerly darkness, but now [you are] light in the Lord. Live like children of light (for the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God.

Therefore, as [the] chosen of God, holy and [dearly] loved, put on affection, compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience,
And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual [people], but as to fleshly [people], as to infants in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, for you were not yet able [to eat it]. But now you are still not able, for you are still fleshly. For where [there is] jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and do you not live like [unregenerate] people?
Brothers, do not become children in [your] understanding, but with respect to wickedness be as a child, and in [your] understanding be mature.
For everyone who partakes of milk [is] unacquainted with the message of righteousness, because he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have trained their faculties for the distinguishing of both good and evil.
Brothers, even if a person is caught in some trespass, you [who are] spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of humility, looking out for yourself, lest you also be tempted.
Now receive the one who is weak in faith, [but] not for quarrels about opinions. One believes [he may] eat all [things], but the one who is weak eats [only] vegetables. The one who eats must not despise the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat must not judge the one who eats, because God has accepted him.
But watch out lest somehow this right of yours becomes a cause for stumbling to the weak. For if someone should see you who has knowledge reclining for a meal in an idol's temple, will not his conscience, [because it] is weak, be strengthened so that [he] eats the food sacrificed to idols? For the one who is weak--the brother for whom Christ died--is destroyed by your knowledge.read more.
Now [if you] sin in this way against the brothers and wound their conscience, which is weak, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if food causes my brother to sin, I will never eat meat {forever}, in order that I may not cause my brother to sin.
But just as it is written, "[Things] which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and have not entered into the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love him." For to us God has revealed [them] through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all [things], even the depths of God. the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it does not see him or know [him]. You know him, because he resides with you and will be in you.
But when he--the Spirit of truth--comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak from himself, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will proclaim to you the things to come. He will glorify me, because he will take from what [is] mine and will proclaim [it] to you. Everything that the Father has is mine. For this [reason] I said that he takes from what [is] mine and will proclaim [it] to you.
Now the spiritual [person] discerns all [things], but he himself is judged by no one. "For who has known the mind of the Lord; who has advised him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
training us in order that, denying impiety and worldly desires, we may live self-controlled and righteously and godly in the present age,
Therefore I exhort you, brothers, through the mercies of God, to present your bodies [as] a living sacrifice, holy [and] pleasing to God, [which is] your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may approve what [is] the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God with your body.
Now those {who belong to Christ} have crucified the flesh together with its feelings and its desires.
Therefore, if you have been raised together with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not [on] the things on earth.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love.
and he is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world. And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. The one who says "I have come to know him," and does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this person.read more.
But whoever keeps his word, truly in this person the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in him. The one who says [that he] resides in him ought also to walk just as that one walked.
By this we know that we love the children of God: whenever we love God and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God: that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome,
If we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit.
"[You] stiff-necked [people] and uncircumcised in hearts and in [your] ears! You constantly resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers [did], [so] also [do] you!
and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
The scroll of this law will not depart from your mouth; you will meditate on it day and night so that {you may observe diligently all that is written} in it. For then you will succeed [in] your ways and prosper.
Now they understand that all [the things] that you have given me are from you,
and that from childhood you have known the holy writings that are able [to make] you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture [is] inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, in order that the person of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
Now it happened that in these days he went away to the mountain to pray, and was spending the whole night in prayer to God.
And getting up early in the morning [while it was] very dark, he departed and went to a deserted place, and there he was praying.
Now [when they] saw the boldness of Peter and John, and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were astonished, and recognized them, that they had been with Jesus.
And let us think about {how to stir one another up to love} and good works,
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another with all wisdom, with psalms, hymns, [and] spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God,
just as you know how [we treated] each one of you, like a father his own children, exhorting and consoling you and insisting that you live in a manner worthy of God, who calls you to his own kingdom and glory.
Consider [it] all joy, my brothers, whenever you encounter various trials, [because you] know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have [its] perfect effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.
And not only [this], but we also boast in our afflictions, [because we] know that affliction produces patient endurance, and patient endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope,
in which you rejoice greatly, [although] now for a short time, if necessary, you are distressed by various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more valuable than gold that is passing away, but is tested by fire, may be found to [result in] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
These [are] the generations of Noah. Noah [was] a righteous man, without defect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
But now, your kingdom will not endure. Yahweh has sought for himself a man according to his [own] heart, and Yahweh has appointed him as leader over his people, because you have not kept what Yahweh commanded you."
And [after] removing him, he raised up David for their king, about whom he also said, testifying, 'I have found David the [son] of Jesse [to be] a man in accordance with my heart, who will carry out all my will.'
And the statement pleased the whole group, and they chose Stephen (a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit), and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus (a convert from Antioch),

You will protect a firm inclination [in] peace, [in] peace because he trusts in you.
Look, I [am] going to bring healing and health to it, and I will heal them, and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and reliability.
