And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

And I intreat thee also, true yoke-fellow, help those women who laboured together with me in the gospel, with both Clement and my other fellow-labourers, whose names are in the book of life.

Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? or what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath a believer with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and the table of devils.

I wrote to you in an epistle, Not to converse with lewd persons. But not altogether with the lewd persons of this world, or the covetous, or the rapacious, or idolaters, for then ye must go out of the world.

Now therefore why endeavour ye to put a yoke on the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders, but they will not move them with their finger.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free, and be not intangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Let as many servants as are under the yoke, account their masters worthy of all honour; lest the name of God and his doctrine be blasphemed.
