'Abomination' in the Bible
For the devious are repulsive to the Lord;But His private counsel is with the upright [those with spiritual integrity and moral courage].
These six things the Lord hates;Indeed, seven are repulsive to Him:
The sacrifice of the wicked is hateful and exceedingly offensive to the Lord,But the prayer of the upright is His delight!
The way [of life] of the wicked is hateful and exceedingly offensive to the Lord,But He loves one who pursues righteousness [personal integrity, moral courage and honorable character].
It is repulsive [to God and man] for kings to behave wickedly,For a throne is established on righteousness (right standing with God).
He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteousAre both repulsive to the Lord.
The devising of folly is sin,And the scoffer is repulsive to men.
He who turns his ear away from listening to the law [of God and man],Even his prayer is repulsive [to God].
An unjust man is repulsive to the righteous,And he who is upright in the way [of the Lord] is repulsive to the wicked.
