'Below' in the Bible
While Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the high priest’s servants came.
But as they were sailing, He fell asleep. And a fierce gale of wind swept down [as if through a wind tunnel] on the lake, and they began to be swamped, and were in great danger.
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled [before others], and he who habitually humbles himself (keeps a realistic self-view) will be exalted.”
“You are from below,” He told them, “I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
I will display wonders in the heaven aboveand signs on the earth below:blood and fire and a cloud of smoke.
Get up, go downstairs and go with them without hesitating or doubting, because I have sent them Myself.”
nor anything above, nor anything below, nor anything else in all creation can separate us from the love of God that is ours in union with the Messiah Jesus, our Lord.
