'Craftsman' in the Bible

‘Cursed is the man who makes an idol or a molten image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’

As for the idol, a craftsman casts it,A goldsmith plates it with gold,And a silversmith fashions chains of silver.

He who is too impoverished for such an offeringSelects a tree that does not rot;He seeks out for himself a skillful craftsmanTo prepare an idol that will not totter.

So the craftsman encourages the smelter,And he who smooths metal with the hammer encourages him who beats the anvil,Saying of the soldering, “It is good”;And he fastens it with nails,So that it will not totter.

For the customs of the peoples are delusion;Because it is wood cut from the forest,The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool.

Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish,And gold from Uphaz,The work of a craftsman and of the hands of a goldsmith;Violet and purple are their clothing;They are all the work of skilled men.

For from Israel is even this!A craftsman made it, so it is not God;Surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to pieces.

And the sound of harpists and musicians and flute-players and trumpeters will not be heard in you any longer; and no craftsman of any craft will be found in you any longer; and the sound of a mill will not be heard in you any longer;
