'Due' in the Bible

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due [its rightful recipients],When it is in your power to do it.

“I have peace offerings with me;Today I have paid my vows.

There is the one who [generously] scatters [abroad], and yet increases all the more;And there is the one who withholds what is justly due, but it results only in want and poverty.

Like apples of gold in settings of silverIs a word spoken at the right time.

Otherwise they drink and forget the law and its decrees,And pervert the rights and justice of all the afflicted.
