'Even' in the Bible

From the sole of the foot even to the head,no spot is uninjured—wounds, welts, and festering soresnot cleansed, bandaged,or soothed with oil.

When you lift up your hands in prayer,I will refuse to look at you;even if you offer countless prayers,I will not listen.Your hands are covered with blood.

A man will even seize his brotherin his father’s house, saying:“You have a cloak—you be our leader!This heap of rubble will be under your control.”

Even the cypresses and the cedars of Lebanonrejoice over you:“Since you have been laid low,no woodcutter has come against us.”

“Can a woman forget her nursing child,or lack compassion for the child of her womb?Even if these forget,yet I will not forget you.

For this is what the Lord says:“Even the captives of a mighty man will be taken,and the prey of a tyrant will be delivered;I will contend with the one who contends with you,and I will save your children.

This is what your Lord says—Yahweh, even your God,who defends His people—“Look, I have removedthe cup of staggering from your hand;that goblet, the cup of My fury.You will never drink it again.

so you will summon a nation you do not know,and nations who do not know you will run to you.For the Lord your God,even the Holy One of Israel,has glorified you.”

Your portion is among the smooth stones of the wadi;indeed, they are your lot.You have even poured out a drink offering to them;you have offered a grain offering;should I be satisfied with these?

You went to the king with oiland multiplied your perfumes;you sent your couriers far awayand sent them down even to Sheol.

For I will not accuse you forever,and I will not always be angry;for then the spirit would grow weak before Me,even the breath of man, which I have made.

I will make known the Lord’s faithful loveand the Lord’s praiseworthy acts,because of all the Lord has done for us—even the many good thingsHe has done for the house of Israeland has done for them based on His compassionand the abundance of His faithful love.

Yet You are our Father,even though Abraham does not know usand Israel doesn’t recognize us.You, Yahweh, are our Father;from ancient times,Your name is our Redeemer.

Even before they call, I will answer;while they are still speaking, I will hear.
