'Hates' in the Bible
If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying helpless under its load, you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall surely release it with him.
and you grumbled in your tents and said, ‘Because the Lord hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites to destroy us.
but repays those who hate Him to their faces, to destroy them; He will not delay with him who hates Him, He will repay him to his face.
You shall not behave thus toward the Lord your God, for every abominable act which the Lord hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.
You shall not set up for yourself a sacred pillar which the Lord your God hates.
“But if there is a man who hates his neighbor and lies in wait for him and rises up against him and strikes him so that he dies, and he flees to one of these cities,
“Shall one who hates justice rule?And will you condemn the righteous mighty One,
The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked,And the one who loves violence His soul hates.
For it is not an enemy who reproaches me,Then I could bear it;Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me,Then I could hide myself from him.
There are six things which the Lord hates,Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
He who is guarantor for a stranger will surely suffer for it,But he who hates being a guarantor is secure.
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,But he who hates reproof is stupid.
A righteous man hates falsehood,But a wicked man acts disgustingly and shamefully.
He who withholds his rod hates his son,But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.
Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way;He who hates reproof will die.
He who profits illicitly troubles his own house,But he who hates bribes will live.
He who hates disguises it with his lips,But he lays up deceit in his heart.
A lying tongue hates those it crushes,And a flattering mouth works ruin.
A leader who is a great oppressor lacks understanding,But he who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.
He who is a partner with a thief hates his own life;He hears the oath but tells nothing.
