Then He upset the money-changers' tables and the dove-dealers' counters, and would not let anybody carry a vessel through the temple. And He continued teaching them and saying, "Does not the Scripture say, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a cave for robbers."
Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who were selling things in it, and He said to them, "The Scripture says, 'And my house shall be a house of prayer,' but you have made it a cave for robbers."
For you have brought these men here, although they are not guilty of sacrilege or of abusive speech against our goddess.
At the same time two robbers were crucified with Him, one at His right and one at His left.
He said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief and as the carrier of the purse for the Twelve he was in the habit of taking what was put into it.

But now you have washed yourselves clean, you have been consecrated, you are now in right standing with God, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God.
