As for you, you shall [die and] go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age.

But Jacob said, “My son shall not go down [to Egypt] with you; for his brother is dead, and he alone is left [of Rachel’s children]. If any harm or accident should happen to him on the journey you are taking, then you will bring my gray hair down to Sheol (the place of the dead) in sorrow.”

Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.

Do therefore according to thy wisdom, and let not his hoary head go down to the grave in peace.

Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do to him; but his hoary head do thou bring down to the grave with blood.

And he brought up against them the king of the Chaldees, and slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and spared not young man nor maiden, old man nor him of hoary head: he gave them all into his hand.

Both hoary and venerable, are among us, one mightier than thy father in days!

Out of whose womb cometh the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who bringeth it forth?

After him he causeth a path to shine, One thinketh the deep to be hoary.

The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it is found in the way of righteousness.

The glory of young men is their strength; And the beauty of old men is the hoary head.

Even to old age, I am HE, and unto hoary hairs I will carry you: It is I that have made, and I will bear, and I will carry, and will deliver.
