'Horn' in the Bible

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

“I said to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’And to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn;

Do not lift up your horn on high,Do not speak with insolent pride.’”

For You are the glory of their strength,And by Your favor our horn is exalted.

“My faithfulness and My lovingkindness will be with him,And in My name his horn will be exalted.

But You have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox;I have been anointed with fresh oil.

With trumpets and the sound of the hornShout joyfully before the King, the Lord.

He has given freely to the poor,His righteousness endures forever;His horn will be exalted in honor.

“There I will cause the horn of David to spring forth;I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.

And He has lifted up a horn for His people,Praise for all His godly ones;Even for the sons of Israel, a people near to Him.Praise the Lord!
