'Mud' in the Bible

I pulverized them to powder, like the dust of the earth; I crushed them, stomping on them like mud on a street.

Rescue me from the mud and do not let me sink. Rescue me from those who hate me, and from the deep waters.

The proverb is true that describes what has happened to them: "A dog returns to its vomit," and "A pig that is washed goes back to wallow in the mud."
